E-book review: 100 Easy Ways to be a Thrifty Family

Becky Goddard-Hill is a successful blogger and author. You can find her online at Family Budgeting and Baby Budgeting and her book How to Afford Time Off with your Baby: 101 Ways to Ease the Financial Strain
is well worth a read for the new or expecting mothers out there! Becky has just published her latest e-book – 100 Easy Ways to be a Thrifty Family and has very kindly sent me a copy to review.

It definitely does what it says on the tin and the book provides 100 great tips to help you thrift your way through family life.  Becky provides advice on how to look good, feel good, have fun as a family, go on holiday, deal with special occasions, have a little luxury in your life as well as some down to earth advice about managing your financial commitments, household bills and more!
This isn’t just a guide to being thrifty, it is also about changing your mind about money and having a positive attitude to holding back from spending.  Becky’s style is inspirational showing that you can do a lot on a little – she points out that ‘Venus and Serena Williams were coached by their dad who apparently got a book
out the library on tennis coaching’.

Becky also highlights that feeling grateful for what you have and giving to others can make you feel good.  I love her bedtime routine where she and her children ‘look back over the day and find three good things to say thank you for.’

This book is perfect for those wanting an inexpensive easy to read introduction to being thrifty and if becoming a thrifty family is one of your new years resolutions then I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this!
