Cheap sleep!

Our three year old loves to wake us up early in the morning and is currently going through a lovely stage of getting up around 5.00 or 5.30 am every morning.
We have debated buying a sleep clock which tells children when it is night time and when it isn’t, by showing night time pictures at night and day time ones in the morning.  However we baulked at the cost which was around £30
Yesterday my husband came up with the great idea of plugging our son’s nightlight into a plug in timer (both of which we already had).  He told him that when the light is on it is night time and he has to stay in bed and when the light is off it is time to get up.  If it works then great.  If it doesn’t then we have saved ourselves from wasting £30!
Wish us luck!

Just realised I said he had the idea yesterday, but it was actually this morning – felt like a long time ago though!

  2. It didn't work last night because we had one that he could change the time on. Forgot to tell him DON'T TOUCH.

  3. That is a really good idea. I don't have kids yet, but I will have to remember that for when I do.
