Forget about shower caps – I don’t know why I didn’t think of this earlier.  A flannel or small cloth secured with an elastic band makes a great reusable cover for a bowl!  This is particularly good if you only want to cover a bowl for a short time.  Depending on the type of food, it might not keep it fresh for long though…
