In reply to Emma PwF. Thanks that's kind. I think that people should be able to choose without guilt whether they want to go to work or whether they want to stay at home and look after their kids and that there should be less pressure and expectation on people to do it all.

I chose slow living and early retirement, although I still have a couple of interests that make income. I love my life now, gardening, cooking, creating things, mending. It means I am available for family, which they think is great. I am so with you on everything you have written. Other people are just envious!

I agree. I don't have children and I prefer to work from home because I can eat better and be a part time caregiver for family members. Everyone can be happy even if they work from home! I can relate to the slow life not being so slow.

Just a quick note to say that I'm fully on board with anyone choosing to work in the home and raise children. If more people valued raising and teaching children above making money then the world would be a better place. I really value your blog and hearing about the perspective that slow living gives you.
