Did you know you can sponsor someone with an action?

I discovered the DoNation a while ago and the concept really stuck with me as being a great idea! Basically instead of raising money for charity or asking for charitable donations in lieu of gifts you ask people to sponsor you with DoActions.

The DoActions are a series of eco-friendly actions designed to save the planet and most (if not all) are actually better for the sponsors wallet.  They include things like ‘Passion Fashion – dress yourself sustainably’ and ‘Tap it – drink tap, use bottle’.  In total there are 38 actions to choose from.
If you have an event such a marathon you are running or a big birthday coming up where you don’t want gifts you can set up a page on the DoNation explaining what you are doing and get started with asking for sponsorship.  I think it is such a brilliant way to change the world, one action at a time!
I recently started My Year of Eco Challenges and have set up a DoNation page here.  It would be so great if you could take a moment to choose a DoAction and sponsor me, or one of the other people undertaking challenges on there.  I believe every action makes a difference and it would mean an awful lot to me – thanks so much!
